Schedule for 2023 adventures

(Some may be tentative dependent on # of passengers for bus trips or other details yet TBD, & we are counting on you to help us through the learning hoops of tweaks & turns!)

 

JUNE 2023

KTVH-TV TOUR! Thursday, June 22

Meet at 2:30 PM (don’t come early as they won’t be ready for us) at the KTVH-TV station to get a tour of the building, see the back-spaces of the TV station – all guided by Curtis Grevenetz. We’ll visit “behind the scenes”. When the tour is completed, you can return to your vehicles & home to tell others all about your TV adventure! Please send us your RSVP so we can alert the TV station how many people to expect.

 

JULY 2023

           SUMMER SYMPHONY – Saturday, July 15

RSVP REQUIRED with a pre-payment of $99 due no later than June 15. Your “admission ticket” includes specialty seating at the symphony, light snacks, motor coach, driver & escort service.  We estimate leaving around 6:15 PM from the former ShopKo parking lot. Approximately 30 minutes after we enjoy the last of the fireworks display, the bus will return to the ShopKo parking lot to deliver you to your vehicles.

 

THE MUSIC RANCH – Saturday, July 29

A pre-paid RSVP is REQUIRED of $185 due before June 23. This is a longer day for travel & visits here & there. Final details yet TBA. Our estimated departure time is 9:30 AM & travel to Bozeman or Livingston for lunch before visiting touring the popular & well-known Livingston Depot Center & the Yellowstone Gateway Museum. Then it’s onto the Music Ranch for dinner, enjoying the area, socializing & preparing for the 7:30 PM concert by Dion Pride** & his band. Paying tribute to his Dad, Charley Pride, Dion inherited his Dad’s talents & will be singing those memorable songs. The estimated time of return to Helena is 11:30 PM - Midnight. IF WE DON’T HAVE ENOUGH PASSENGERS TO COVER THE COST, THE TRIP WILL BE CANCELLED.

AUGUST 2023

MEMORIAL PARK SUNDAES WITH MUSIC & MEMORIES – Thursday, August 3

RSVP & $2 Donation Requested! Help us plan – PLEASE! Meet at a semi-reserved area -- we will begin serving sundaes at 6:45 PM. BRING YOUR OWN CHAIRS! Capital City Band Concert begins at 8 PM.

SEPTEMBER 2023 

THE 7R GUEST RANCH – Thursday, September 7? Final date TBA

PRE-PAID RSVP REQUIRED before August 24. $79 gets you a trek to the 7R guest ranch near Wolf Creek. We’ll enjoy the beauty of the surroundings, have lunch & then be serenaded by Ron & Sandy Adams as they prepare an afternoon of delight for our group! Meet-up at the ShopKo parking lot, & we’ll leave for the ranch at 11:15 AM. Our estimated time to return to your vehicles will be 3:30 – 4 PM. IF WE DON’T HAVE ENOUGH PASSENGERS TO COVER THE COST, THE TRIP WILL BE CANCELLED, & we will likely have a ‘regular’ coffee & cookie meet-up.

 

** Dion started singing & playing guitar by the age of 5. At 8 years old he began 5 years of classical & modern piano lessons as well as  the drums at age 10, bass at 12 & started performing when he turned 14. Dion connects with audiences of all types & strives for the same approval ratings his father enjoyed. Adoring Charley fans have quickly jumped on board with Dion, showing no signs of wavering. Dion played lead guitar for his Dad’s band, entertained our troops on USO tours in Panama, Honduras, Guantanamo Bay & more. He has sung & performed for crowds around the world. Dion Pride is a breath of fresh air with great artistic talent & an endearing personality on & off stage. With that combination, it’s easy to see why audiences all over the globe have become true Dion Pride fans.

 

OCTOBER 2023

THE FANTASTICKS DINNER SHOW – SUNDAY, OCTOBER 8

It’s another out-of-town adventure to Great Falls at the 3D – all with our own private showing of the theatrical production…AND…the WORLD’S LONGEST RUNNING MUSICAL…THE FANTASTICKS  --- at 4 PM, followed by dinner & social time, & then we return to Helena with our tummies full!! PREPAID RESERVATIONS for $149 per person will be required no later than August 31. IF WE DON’T HAVE ENOUGH PASSENGERS TO COVER THE COST, THE TRIP WILL BE CANCELLED, & a regular meeting for October will be announced.

 

THE MAGICAL WORLD OF CINDERELLA IS COMING – MONDAY, OCTOBER 23

This once-in-a-lifetime experience lets you see the WORLD BALLET COMPANY’S classical ballet in Great Falls. This enchanting story is for all ages with a wonderful dose of humor, the majesty of classical ballet, & the promise of “happily ever after”. Follow everyone’s favorite princess as she falls in love with a prince. Meet the wacky sisters, stepmother & fairy grandmother; see how the pumpkin becomes the carriage & how the dreams come true! But don’t forget – when the clock strikes midnight…??!! Due to the high demand of the tickets for this production, PREPAID RESERVATIONS ($179 per person) are required no later than July 15. The box office is working closely with us, we’ll enjoy dinner before the show which begins at 7 PM, & we should be back in Helena around 11 PM.

A CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION  will be arranged with the tentative proposal being a catered dinner at Our Redeemer’s Church in the Great Room. PRE-PAID RSVPs & more details to be announced. Stay tuned!
